ALTERNATORS SPECIFICATION

TECHNICAL INFOMATION

 

¡á COMPLIANCE WITH STANDARDS

The alternators have been designed In compliance with:
NEMA MG-1, ISO8528, JEM1354, KEMC1111, IEC34-1 and IEEE.

¡á FORMS

Standard forms are B2(single-bearing generators) special constructions available on request.

¡á ENCLOSURE

Standard enclosure in IP 21, Better protection degrees can be supplied on request.

¡á BEARINGS

Relubricated ball bearings generously rated are used in all machines.

¡á VENTILATION

Axial type with air inlet from opposite drive end Fans are straight radial type.

¡á OVERSPEED

The permissible overspeed is 1.25 times the rated speed(referred to 60Hz).

¡á INSULATION

H Class.

¡á PROTECTION OF WINDINGS AND MECHANICAL PARTS

The generators are troplcalize, with special vacuum impregnation process of the windings.
On request the treatment for damp-saline environment is available.

¡á RATINGS

The ratings are referred to the following conditions:
  - Balanced non-deforming load.
  - Ambient temperature not over 40"C.
  - Altitude below 1000m. above sea level.
  - Minimum power factor 0.8.

¡á TERMINAL BOX

The generators are provided with a large terminal box suitable for easy connection to the terminals.

¡á SINGLE PHASE OPERATION

Rating delivered in continuous duty Is about 60% of three phase rating.

¡á FREQUENCY

Generators can operate at 50 and 60Hz.

¡á VOLTAGES

Standard generators are supplied for voltages:
C Type 380/220V for 60Hz.
E Type 380/220V, 415/240V for 50Hz and 415/240V, 440/254V, 460/266, 480/277 for 60Hz.
On request generators with special voltages and connections can be supplied.

¡á WAVE FORM

The line voltage wave form with the machine unloaded aud supplying a balanced
non deforming three phase load is sinusoidal with a residual harmonic less than 5%,
Lower values can be obtained on request(with slight reduction of the output).

¡á VOLTAGE REGULATION

This is maintained within ±1% with load from 0 to 100% speed From -2% to +5%
and power factor range from 0.8 4o 1 and balanced load.

¡á TRANSIENT RATINGS

Voltage drop due to the application of full load at 0.8 power factor lagging Is between 18 to 20%, the output voltage recovers to within ±3% of the steady state value In less then 0.5 s.

¡á MANUAL VOLTAGE REGULATION

Available within ±5% of the rated value by means of potentiometer placed inside the Voltage regulator
